The worst thing is it uses 3 AAAs bundled together to get enough voltage for the LED, instead of having a good voltage regulator.As the battery voltage drops, which begins immediately with alkalines, the light output also drops.Independent testing at flashlightreviews dotcom shows it drops to 50% output after only half an hour.Most high-power flashlights in this price range don't maintain full brightness for long, but this one seems especially bad.
If you actually "need" a 3-watt flashlight, you might want to pay more (a lot more, unfortuantely) for something better.
