(More customer reviews)This little very light weight source is great for camping or power outages.When I camp I leave it on all night outside my tent.The rechargeable battery runs all night and is still brite in the morning.LED's are far more efficient then either incandescent orfluorescent lights.It runs cool and has a nice sharp white color balance.It will charge from any 12 volt source and has a 24 hour runtime on low.BTW there is'nt a great of difference between the high or low setting.As I mentioned earlier the lantern runs with no heat and is safe to use in a tent without worry of fire.I left it out in a good rain storm one evening and it showed no ill effect at all. There are 2 versions one that requires D cell batteries and the other with a supplied rechargable lead acid cell.The differance in price is small enough that I would go for the rechargable unit. Should last for years as the life of an LED is about 11 or 12 years on continous usage.
