Low sides, but is still wide and long enough for packaged meats, frozens, maybe even boxed pizza.
I would say you can fit a case of soda cans inside with a little ice on top.
Color: Gray is more like clay/ brown. Cons:Damaged in shipping due to poor packing. Sorry Amazon.
I would have gone with a 5-stars if it were packed better.
FYI: Lid does not lock. Lid has no hinges. Not a problem for me, but may be for some uses.
Overall, I am happy with it for my needs.
(No I have not tested max time that ice will last in it, but an hour would be enough for me).
