(More customer reviews)Years ago I purchased a set of lantern stands similar to these (actually they were less expensive but not coleman brand). They were all aluminum tube construction even in the tripod legs unlike these. They were rock solid and I wouldn't have had to replace them except that they got stowed in storage and were inaccessible and we needed new ones right away. These more expensive ones have a rickety flat steel tripod leg construction on the same tube aluminum telescoping section. I would recommend these to any other style of stand, but for the money I wish they had built better value into them, especially being coleman brand. They almost got it right.... almost.
