(More customer reviews)I really wanted to give this thing 1 star.I really resent it when a company misrepresents and item in the actual name of the thing, and (like most angry customers) wanted to punish them with my review.Hey, I didn't write the rules of human nature, I just live by them.
But the truth is, this case seems pretty good, and probably would have suited my needs - if it fit the lantern I bought it for.Now before you go chastising me, understand that I bought Coleman's flagship "North Star Duel Fuel Lantern" for over a hundred bucks.The lantern runs on unleaded gasoline, so I imagined it to be a "gas lantern."Furthermore (and perhaps most damning) it appears in the "related accessories" section of the North Star lantern's product page on the Coleman website.So yes, I did do my homework before buying the thing on Amazon.
But, and I'm sure you see where this is going... when it arrived in the mail (in the same shipment as the lantern, as I bought them together), I tried to stick the lantern in the case and it just did not fit.Oh, it came close, but the thing is just slightly too narrow and slightly too short.For god sakes, doesn't anyone at Coleman actually try these things out before they slap them up on their site and here on Amazon? Of course I returned it without a problem, but shame on Coleman for wasting my time with such a stupid error.
